Leaders Thrive in Regulated Bodies

A few months ago, I did a workshop at the University of Pennsylvania on restorative leadership, and one aspect of restorative leadership is embodied leadership; embodied practices. So if you are walking around and you're wearing your shoulders as earrings, if you notice that your jaw is clenched, if you find yourself running to get coffee over and over and over again throughout the day, then most likely you are surviving in fight or flight mode.
Embodied leadership allows us to have tools in our toolbox like breath work, like grounding and other somatic practices that regulate our nervous systems. The most powerful leaders are not just smart, they're also somatically savvy. It is time for us to relax our shoulders, to unclench our jaws, to take a deep breath 'cause your brilliance thrives even more in a regulated body.
