About Tyneeta Canonge, MS. Ed.

I hail from a family of change makers who were at the forefront of integration in the New Orleans business and public school systems. Their courage in the fight has always inspired me. With a lineage rooted in strong leadership and a desire for justice, I inherited a deep passion for effecting change. As a first generation college graduate, I earned my bachelors degree from the University of New Orleans. My story is a testament to the journey of professionals, navigating predominantly white institutions and discovering our unique gifts in spite of systemic marginalization.

I lead from a place of humanity. My coaching and facilitation approach centers community and is characterized by a balance of connection and conviction.

As a consultant and coach, I share my research on the psychological needs that must be met in order for teams to thrive, I share my experience fostering environments of inclusivity and connection as well as my experience as a working mother striving to balance my strong family values with professional growth and a spirit of excellence.

To decenter whiteness in my own leadership, I work to counter the psychological impacts of being a successful leader in predominantly white spaces. I approach the strategic planning work I do with organizations with this dismantling in mind.

Growing up, I never imagined that I would gain access to an Ivy League education, but I did! I am a University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education alumna with 30 years of experience as an educational leader. I'm an Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator, a Minnesota Office of Charter Authorizers board member, a member of the Women’s Heads Network and a 2021 NAIS Aspiring Heads Institute fellow and I am a student of Embodied Social Justice.

My proven experience in leadership roles support and affirm diverse perspectives that form communities; I use the philosophy of emergent strategy to engage organizations in building systems, policies and programs that foster community-wide intercultural competencies in age-appropriate ways; and create strategic opportunities that activate corporate bodies, executives, parents, teachers and staff, establishing a collaborative approach to maintaining vibrant institutional programs.

I'm a proud mom of an adult son who is living his dreams and traveling the world dancing with some of today's biggest celebrities. I'm living my best life as a CEO and equity-focused leader and love to help others do the same!
